I booked Starline last minute for a move I needed completed immediately. I received a comprehensive quote prior to my move as soon as I booked. On the day of the move, Antwan and Merrill showed up perfectly on time with smiling faces. They greeted us professionally and walked me through my quote before starting the moving process. From beginning to end, they were nothing but friendly and professional. They kept things moving and wrapped my furniture up diligently and carefully. They didn’t even blink an eye at the stairs that everything had to go up when they arrived at the final destination, they just rolled up their sleeves and got to work. Thank you Starline and an extra thank you to Merrill and Antwan for providing top notch service!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2890

Moved a 4 bedroom home. Extremely unorganized... nothing was labeled or inventoried during shipping. Loads were packed on the truck next to eachother so we didn't realize until after the truck left that several items were missing including an antique chair worth $1700. Paul Redi promised us our items back on the next shipment. Delays, excuses, time passed. He stopped responding to our messages. I could get a lawyer involved but it would cost more to take him to court than the items are worth.

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $17000

I initially contacted the company to help with a move last year for the beginning of December. We set the date for them to come and disassemble furniture and move some boxes. They confirmed everything was good to go about a week before our actual move date which was on a Sunday. They were supposed to call us the day before to confirm the exact times the movers would be in. Saturday comes around and no call. I try reaching out to their customer service but get no where. On Sunday I get a call that their movers will actually be there on Monday morning. This sucks because we were planning on using Monday to clean the apartment and such, but we said it’s fine we will make it work. Monday comes along and no movers. I finally get in touch with the actual driver and he was coming in from Mississippi (I lived in Ohio) and wouldn’t be in until 8pm. At this point this is no longer acceptable since we had to turn in the keys that same day. To top it off he was a one man team! How was this one man supposed to move all of our furniture. Poor excuse of a company. Take care of your clients and take care of your team! You were going to make this man drive 7 plus hours and then pack and move my stuff

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3000

WOULD NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL !! BEWARE !!

I did a move with them from CALIFORNIA to NEW YORK.

Gave me a price of $7867 for a full service platinum pack move !

When the movers that they brokers it out to showed up. I had 3 Mexican kids that did not speak Spanish and the father which was the driver show up in a PENSKE TRUCK !!! On top of that they told me I owed and additional $5000 on top of the $7867. After they needed a RESERVATION DEPOSIT of $4000 up front.

On top of that before reserving I even brought up the bad reviews and they assured me that it was a competitor doing bad reviews. WRONG !

They tell you all you want to hear to earn your business just so they can broker it out to people who aren’t even movers !!

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM AS POSSIBLE.

ALL THE 5 STAR REVIEWS ARE FAKE AND SO IS THIS SCAN COMPANY. WILL MAKE SURE THEY GET SHUT DOWN.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $7900

I called Thomas on Friday and he was able to accommodate me that Sunday. Pricing was a lot less expensive than other companies, so I had low expectations. Imagine my surprise when Chuck called me to let me know they could actually come earlier but only if convenient for me. Chuck and Jermaine (hope that's how you spell it, sorry if wrong) Tony and Ed were there right on schedule and were ready to go. They were efficient, courteous, friendly, and very professional. And when it came time to get all my belongings into storage I was amazed at how they were able to fit everything in with room to spare. Thank you so much guys.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $6790

Don’t believe the 5 star reviews. This company has been remade multiple times because they’ve had so many issues. Other reviews say the company has held their items for ransom while others say the movers were extremely delayed and up charged everything. We had the last two issues.

We had to move out at the end of the month and had a scheduled months in advanced for the truck to come two weeks before the 31st. They didn’t call us until the week before and guaranteed that the movers would be there before the end of the week. They promised us the 25th. Then no one showed up. They then they called and promised the 29th. No one showed up. No phone calls. We tried calling the office and using the online feature multiple times. You can never get in contact with anyone here. The online chat would always exit as soon as we mentioned what happened. The movers ended up not coming and we had to rent a truck from a few towns over and do the move in one day on the 31st of the month. They called us while on the road, saying they had 72 hours from the last promised date to get us moved. They Ended up keeping the first payment of $3200 from us by saying we signed a new contract (over the phone??) that said they had 72 hours to get a mover to us from the later date. No new contract was signed, and the company lied to us by saying we signed it. We couldn’t even prove our case because they eliminate all paper trail by conducting business over phone and removing all online forms regarding our case.

Don’t use this company unless you want to be out a few grand, and if you like growing grey hairs.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3200

I was working on a move for our new pastor. I worked with [NAME EDIT] We talked about family and God just to name a few. He promised me a lot. Most of it never happened. If I paid for boxes, they would pack at no extra charge, we would get a whole truck, etc. They never packed a single box. The driver was a day late (at least), The driver was the only person. Later someone else was dropped off to help. They were there a very long time. Even though there was room on the truck, the driver required a new signed document and an additional $1200. But we had the whole truck?

They were late delivering. The driver called me early that morning to say they were in town. I believe it was the next day before they got there. At that point, they requested another $1,000. There was some damage too.

When I tried to call [NAME EDIT] at Starline, I left messages, but he never called back. Emails never answered. Finally I got [NAME EDIT]. He said I would be his contact from now on and that he would call me back in 30 minutes or so. That was a couple weeks ago. My pastor also talked to Steve and was told the same, never to hear from him again. I haven’t heard from [NAME EDIT] either. So, I started trying to get [NAME EDIT] again and got [NAME EDIT]. She did give some information and promised to have someone call me, no call yet.

I continued to try to call but never got through. I left several messages for [NAME EDIT]. I eventually got him about 2-3 days ago. He was going to work his magic and call me back by the end of the day. No call. I have tried to call several time a day, leaving at least 1 message. That was. 2-3 days ago. Honestly, I’m not expecting any one to reach out. I’ll never use them again and would suggest no one else use them.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $12000

Do NOT use Starline. All of their phones are now disconnected so I’m not sure this company even exists anymore….Regardless, my review seems to have similar themes to other ones on here but I’m at a point where I’m going to have to potentially look into litigation and do not want anyone else to have to go through what I have. First off, Frank scraped my number somehow and cold called me to convince me to change my reservation from another moving company to his. He gave me a great rate, affordable storage and promised I could use a credit card for my pick-up and one of my drop offs (I have multiple). I asked a ton of questions to ensure I was making the right decision moving my contract over to them and he assured me everything would be taken care of and that Starline would call me 3 weeks before my move, the week before and the day before to confirm my inventory list and pricing, and make sure all my questions were answered. What they did NOT tell me is they were outsourcing my move to a completely different moving company. They did not call 3 weeks or one week before, I had to call them 4 days before. They did an inventory check, gave me my final quote and told me my move date. The DAY OF my move no one showed up…. I called Steve at Starline and asked why the movers weren’t at my place yet, he played dumb and said he would look into it. He called back with a super detailed elaborate story that the mover got caught up at another move, the driver can’t come to me the same day because there are union regulations but they will be there the next day. I had hotels booked and lost a day of driving across country so I’m automatically out of a lot money due to this. ALSO- I asked them for the later day from the very beginning and they told me the week of they could not book it so not only am out of money, I could’ve had more time to pack and actually move the day I originally asked for in my contract. I finally get a call from the actual movers who are moving my items and THEY HAVE NO IDEA what I’m talking about when I mention the delay. Starline even sent me a email saying the movers are going to do everything they can to reconcile the issue whereas the manager at the other company said the reason they didn’t show up is because Starline did not book them for that date and then tried to do it too last minute. It was really odd and gave me a bad feeling because after using this other company I’m still supposed to keep storage with Starline and these guys seem really shady. They assure me everything is going to be ok- so the other moving company comes to my place, moves our items and then I’m hit with a bill that is $2000 more than what Starline quoted. OH and they don’t accept credit. I am stunned, I break down into tears. I try to call Starline, no one answers. I’m stuck with half of the bill and and in my head will call Frank or Steve to help me reconcile this. Skip to us leaving town and headed cross country, I’ve called Starline everyday, emailed multiple times without hearing from them AT ALL. Now, cut to weeks later, their phones are disconnected. This is now confirmed to be fraud. I called the other moving company who has our stuff and they say they haven’t been able to get ahold of them either. And…they never booked storage for me so I had to find another storage facility to keep my stuff. Oh and did I mention they said I would get my items between 10-14 days and it’s been almost a month? Please be warned, I signed with them because they have so many glowing reviews but I feel like maybe after covid or maybe change in staff they have crumbled? Either way, this company has completely disappeared and are not trustworthy. Frank and Steve are salesmen so they will make a lot of promises, are good at convincing they care about the customer journey but as soon as they have your money, they will disappear. And all of their promises are false. They also said storage is $200-$300 where’s its $650+ with the company who’s actually moving me. Please do yourself a favor and believe the negative reviews on here, I wish I had.
